!IMPORTANT The fix has been included in the main Gsdx branch, so you don't need my Modded plugin anymore... Emulated on PCSX2 r3353... This is how the intro looks like with my modded GSDX plugin in DX10 Hardware mode in 2x resolution... The original plugin has "overbrightening" bug... Sorry, the sound was lost...

Hardware mode for GSDX brings about many benefits, most noteably is the performance increase in FPS, also secondarily is the ability to raise the resolution of the game well beyond the PS2 limits. This can result in very high quality PS2 game renders which can breathe new life into old games. However this doesn't always work without faults and sometimes needs extensive modification and research to find how and what to change to fix issues. The two issues which are most noteable are the blur effect filter which has been applied too liberally by the hardware mode, and the bleed effect which happens from having a higher than standard resolution. However there is some configuration changes you can make to fix them, you just plain don't draw the 'blur' filter nor the light effect which makes people's foreheads glow, and the right and bottom of the screen 'bleed' into the main part of the screen. You lose some depth of shades however you gain the full resolutions available to the game. This makes the game far more enjoyable. I just wish there was a way to work out how to just diminish the blur/lighting effects.

Finally God of war 2 on 720p (1280x720) with no ghosting, no lines and green screen when using time power. Just set skipdraw hack and skiptex on gsdx plugin to 1. This must be working with any resolution. Another way to do this is to set manual offset x=-4, y=-3 and skiptex to 1.
