The accountant currently working at Collin Street Bakery was staring at his computer screen at the blank spaces on his company's checks when inspiration hit him. On a whim, he drove to the Dallas Lexus dealership and bought a gold Lexus sedan with a tan leather interior. Although he sold his old Lexus as a down payment, he couldn't afford the monthly cost of his new vehicle. But he had a plan and swiped his card. Sandy drove home, blasting music as he flew down the highway. He was sure people were looking at him in envy, and when he got home, he told his wife that the car was a gift from the Fishers, a couple he'd been helping with their accounting. According to an article in Texas Monthly, a few weeks later, his credit card payment was due. He checked to see that nobody was looking as he entered a $20,000 check in the accounting software, payable to CitiCard. Sandy printed the check, which automatically added CEO Bob McNutt's signature, then voided it in the system so there would be no record. Sandy then took the check and paid off his car. He smiled to himself. This was going to be fun. Sandy Jenkins Sandy Jenkins was a shy accountant who was tired of feeling unnoticed. Every morning he awoke before his alarm, made a strong cup of coffee, had breakfast with his wife, and watched Good Morning America. He spent his ten-minute morning commute daydreaming about the life of luxury he never had. Sandy worked at the Collin Street Bakery, where he felt invisible. He silently admired Bob McNutt, the beloved CEO who ran the bakery. Coworkers only visited Sandy to talk about payroll reports, sales reports, and other administrative work, but they sure loved talking to Bob. Sandy had worked at the bakery for six years and still needed to save up money to buy the upgraded Lexus he wanted. Sandy and his wife, Kay, might not’ve been wealthy, but they lived a good life. They had refined tastes and lived in a nice neighborhood. Their home was well-kept, and neighbors commented on their manicured front yard. Sandy spent his evenings with his wife, who would cook while he played classical music on the piano. Kay Jenkins Sandy's shyness defined most of his social interactions, stemming back to his school days. He was quiet and only had a few friends, and worked at his family's grocery store after school and on weekends. Accounting wasn't Sandy's first passion. He wanted to work as a funeral director, but that’s not exactly what drew him to the career. Funeral directors wore sharp outfits, drove immaculate black cars, were eloquent, and worked in the rich backdrops of funeral homes. When Sandy told his father about his dream occupation, his dad discouraged him and suggested he go for a more mainstream career. Sandy decided to get a degree in business administration from Dallas Baptist University. He met Kay at the college after a family friend told him about her niece, who occasionally needed a ride to campus. Sandy picked Kay up from her aunt's house, and the two drove to class together. He couldn't believe his luck and eventually persuaded her to marry him. Jenkin's first job out of college was as an accounting clerk at a utility company in Fairfield, but he was much more interested in living in Corsicana. They moved to the wealthy town when Jenkin's company transferred him close enough. People in Corsicana loved to gossip, making it a place where everybody was in one another's business. When the Jenkins arrived in 1988, they had some catching up to do. And how were they ever going to get in with the upper crust of Corsicana's society? Collin Street Bakery A few years after settling in the town, struggling to make ends meet, and spending a lot of time volunteering at their church, Sandy landed a job at the most famous employer around. Collin Street Bakery sold premier fruitcakes, and since Sandy loved fruitcakes, it was the perfect fit. Not only was the bakery the best-known business in Corsicana, but it was the world's most renowned purveyor of fruit cakes.

В чашу миксера выливаем белки, которые я предварительно отделила от желтков, и взбиваем их на средней скорости до появления легкой пены. В отдельную чашу выливаем желтки и растираем их миксером в течение минуты. Затем добавляем к желткам 2/3 сахара, а оставшийся высыпаем в белки. Продолжаем взбивать белки теперь на максимальной скорости миксера, до увеличения объема в 4-5 раз, пока не образуется плотная блестящая масса. В процессе добавляем в желтки ванилин и продолжаем взбивать до светлой густой массы, которая должна увеличиться в объеме в 2-3 раза. Белки и желтки отлично взбились! Перекладываем 1/3 часть взбитых белков к желткам и аккуратно смешиваем. Затем добавляем просеянную муку и все аккуратно перемешиваем, стараясь не осадить воздушную массу. После этого перекладываем ее к оставшимся взбитым белкам и всю смесь еще раз осторожно перемешиваем до образования однородного теста. Бисквитное тесто получилось легкое и воздушное! Смешать сахар, воду в сотейнике. Поставить на средний огонь и уварить сироп до температуры 115 градусов. Когда сироп достигнет 100-105 градусов добавить лимонный сок. Готовый сироп поставить в ледяную воду и остудить до 45 градусов. Затем взбить миксером (насадка лопатка). Готовая помадка белого цвета и не липнет к рукам. Накрыть помадку пищевой пленкой в контакт и оставить при комнатной температуре на сутки. How to bake bread in a primitive oven built out of rocks. Cooking meat over a camp fire and making the most amazing steak & gravy sandwiches. Bread Recipe ½ lb of all purpose flour ½ lb of bread flour 1.5 table spoons of salt ½ oz of yeast 2 table spoons of sugar A pint of warm with no chlorine or fluoride (it kills the yeast). Add the flour and salt and mix together Then make a volcano in the flour pile. Add yeast and sugar and a small amount of warm water. Mix with your finger and let sit for 5 minutes+. The slowly add more water and mix the flour. Water needs to be warm or room temp, but not cold or hot. Add water until the dough is slightly sticky and gets on your hands. Knead the dough aggressively for 8 to 10 minutes or until it is no longer sticky and can be stretched until it is almost see through. Roll into a ball and let sit for 45 minutes or until the ball doubles in volume. (this depends a lot on temperature of dough) Knock the big air bubbles out of the dough but kneading it a few times and then cut into loaf sized balls. Let it prove for another 45 minutes or until it doubles in volume again. Coat in flour, put on rock. Oven should be between 400 to 500 F. Bake until golden brown. Rotate loaf in oven if necessary. Should take between 10 to 30 minutes depending on temperature. Let hot loaf sit until moderately warm to the touch and then slice and serve. Rump Roast Recipe Put rump roast on spit and coat in liberal amounts of Montreal Steak Seasoning. Stick over fire at a height that is about 350F and rotate as needed. Slice off pieces as the cook and continue to roast the remaining meat. Takes 2 to 5 hours depending on heat. Sausage Gravy Cook ½ lb of breakfast sausage in skillet, at a pinch of salt, 2 or more tablespoons of black pepper, a ¼ a cup of all purpose flour and then add several cups of heavy whipping cream (can also use whole milk). Adjust quantities to taste and thickness desired. Takes about 5 minutes.
