With this method you could theoretically connect 20 fans in your PC (although you may not need that many)...(or do you?? 👀) I'll let you decide.. Plus I show you how to install an addressable RGB Hub in your PC AND I also show you how to get my super cool dual tone (dual color) effect on all your fans and on the Lian Li Strimer Plus cables! Wiring Corsair fans can be a pain, but it's not necessarily as complex as you might think. In this video I'm going to show you how to connect Corsair fans and where to connect them, including how to connect them to the RGB nodes, the fan power on your motherboard or how to make life easier with a Commander Core XT. All this is being done outside the case, so that you can see the logic a bit more easily and understand the wiring in a more straightforward way. Hopefully this will help if you're planning on building a Corsair PC or just want guidance on which wires go where and why. In this video I'm using a mix of LL120, ML120, QL120 and more fans to demonstrate how to do this and why it's not as hard as you might think. Many fan hubs that are available on the market use very basic PCB designs without any protection or circuitry for signal quality improvement. While this helps to reduce cost, there are significant drawbacks with regards to function and safety. In particular, unprotected fan hubs bear risks in cases of overcurrent or short-circuits on the output ports. Especially when powering the devices through S-ATA, this can result in cables and connectors melting and may even cause sparks or flames. To rule out that anything like this can happen, the NA-FH1 features protection circuitries with resettable polyfuses that shut down in case of overcurrent or short-circuits, protecting the connected fans and surrounding components. Fan splitters or hubs are a great way to add more fans and control them from a single motherboard header. A simple twin port split will allow two fans to be connected to a single fan header on the motherboard. These are a great way to connect AIO or radiator fans and have them in sync with each other as the rpm or pwm signal will be the same on both fans. A similar option is the four port version of this allowing up to four fans to be controlled from a single header or motherboard output, although be careful with powerful fans as you don't want to overload the motherboard fan header. The best option for larger numbers of fans is a fan hub such as the arctic 10 port fan hub. this uses the PWM or RPM signal from a motherboard fan header but powers the fan or fans from a SATA style power connector, so make sure you have a SATA power connector spare in you PC.
