In the beginning of KC:D the combat feels quite clunky and unsatisfying, but later on in the game after learning to use combos and especially perfect blocks and master strikes you do begin to have a lot of fun with the combat in the game. In this video you can see an ambush on the road by a high level bandit, fight against the tournament Black Knight and the final battle of the Band of Brothers DLC.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Sword duel with Sir Hans Capon. After Henry beat Sir Hans at the archery range, the noble lord wanted to cross swords. It seems Sir Hans doesn't like the pointy end. Crossing swords with Sir Hans Capon. I had been using a sword that was beyond my skill level to wield. I repeatedly lost this duel. I sold the sword I had and went to the duel unarmed. It seems I was loaned a sword just for this fight. Henry beat Sir Hans at the first attempt with the borrowed blade.
Once you understand the combat system, Kingdom Come's combat is so satisfying.
A series of combos that can be very useful with the first two enemies of the Rattay Tourney (with the Longsword), after that... just stab them in the face. Attack order (Longsword): 1. Clinch (If it isn't successful, repeat, but don't abuse cause the enemy may do after that a master strike, in that case just block their attacks and Clinch again) 2. Fehler: Scarmaker 3. Stab in the face 4. False Edge 5. Stab again in the face It's not much but I hope could helped you! Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a fantastic open-world medieval RPG/simulation game from Warhorse Studios. It aims to bring a deeper and more realistic sense of progression to your character but by late-game you're still basically a GOD.
Henry comes across the Wayfaring Knight and, fueled by avarice instead of honor, bets he could kick this knight's metal ass for a nicely crafted armor that Henry won't need anyway because he's already donning a set of silver sex appeal.
P.S i defeated that Knight in a duel before but the game doesn't seem to remember it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There's a random encounter where you come across an idle mercenary along the road who wants to have a duel, and will bet you 50 gold. So, obviously I had to clean this mf out
I did miss a few block, but overall I'm quite satisfied with how I performed, I love the Hardcore mode and I cannot wait for the Arena DLC!
Gameplay showing duel fight at Pribyslavitz Arena. The Pribyslavitz arena included in the "From The Ashes" DLC is the best place to practise your combat skills later on in the game. The Veteran opponent is quite difficult to beat in the way combat is intended to work, but with maxed out stats there is an easy way to beat him shown ahead from 6:12.
