Mat’s lining up in a supercharged Ford Mustang King Cobra, and pulling up to join him is a tuned Chevrolet Camaro and a Dodge Challenger SRT Scatpack! So let’s see how awesome American exports stack up. Starting with the Mustang, it’s powered by a 5-litre V8 which has had a supercharger added to it, and as a result, it can now deliver 735hp & 690Nm of torque. It’s rear-wheel drive, and it weighs in at 1,775kg. Next up it’s the Chevy, which is housing a 6.2-litre V8 up-front which has also had a supercharger added to it. It can therefore deliver 650hp & 600Nm, and just like the Mustang, it’s rear-wheel drive. It’s a fair bit lighter, though, weighing in at 1,656kg. And then finally we have the Challenger. It’s powered by a 6.4-litre V8 which has had (you guessed it…) a supercharger added to it, and it’ll put down 650hp & 600Nm, exactly the same as the Camaro! It’s also RWD, but it’s the heaviest car here, weighing in at 1,900kg. So how’s this going to play out - surely the most powerful car has to snatch the win, right? Detroit Muscle goes on the hunt for their next big build: Project Ultra Violet...a 1970 Challenger. This Mopar is in serious need of a sand blaster! The team salvages a rotted out '70 Challenger with how-to weld in a new metal roof, drip rails and A-pillars. Then, chassis guru Jeff Schwartz brings in his G-Machine chassis to convert uni-body Challenger to a full frame. We show you how to weld in a new trunk pan and fabricate a front cowl panel from scratch before the guys graft the world's first low deck, all aluminum Hemi and T56 six speed gearbox. Then, it's step-by-step tech on how-to mini tub a muscle car rear end to create clearance for massive tires and celebrity builder Chris Ryan shows how-to lay down metallic paint and graphics on our very purple Challenger. The guys get into how to refurbish an expensive grill, insulate a uni-body plus tips on reassembling brightwork before fabbing a high flow EFI fuel system, serpentine belt drive and dual fan cooling system. We’ve got Mat in the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and he’s going head-to-head against Yianni in the Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye & Racing Driver Sam in the Ford Mustang! So let’s see how these mighty muscle cars compare. Starting with the Camaro ZL1, it’s powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged V8, which would normally deliver 650hp. However, this one’s been tuned, and as a result, it puts down 770hp & 1,000Nm of torque! It delivers the power to the rear wheels via a 10-speed automatic gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,748kg. Next up we have the Dodge. It’s also powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged V8, but it’s completely stock, so it puts down 808hp and 959Nm. Avem aici o nebunie de mașină, dovada pură că americanii fac mașini nebune, și anume Dodge Challenger, al III-lea model, an de fabricație 2020, motor 5.7 V8 Hemi, pe o culoare frumoasă de alb și numere dubioase de Vaslui. Ce să zic? Mie unul îmi place mașina. Dar una e să îți placă, alta e să chiar ți-o dorești, nu? Practic e foarte diferită de mașinile noastre europene, nu seamană deloc cu un BMW sau cu un Audi. E o mașină cu un motor V8 Hemi, foarte mare, care merge bine rău de tot în linie dreaptă dar nu se impacă cu curbele, deloc. E binișor dotată, are un interior mediu de calitativ dar să nu credeți că poate concura cu un Mercedes la capitolul interior. Concurează cu greu cu o mașină japoneză...
